He is a member of the group THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE. He passed the EXILE Presents VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 4 ~Yume wo Motta Wakamono Tachi e~ as one of three winners in 2014 and was selected as one of the vocalists of THE RAMPAGE. In his childhood, he dreamed of appearing on television. Initially, Kawamura wanted to become an actor but after a close friend of his lent him an EXILE album (Negai no Tou) during his third grade of junior high school, he was so impressed by the group, especially their vocalist TAKAHIRO, that he changed his goals: "When I listened to it, I thought, 'I also want to be able to sing like TAKAHIRO!'. [...] Until then, I only knew EXILE's major songs, but by watching some documentary videos, I was attracted by LDH's philosophy and aspiration, as well as the personalities of HIRO and other LDH artists." Ever since, he aspired to become a professional singer.
With the support of his parents and the ambition to learn how to sing, he transferred from a regular high school to a music school later on. There, he met an EXPG scout during a seminar and joined EXPG Osaka as a special/scholarship student.
Besides his interest in singing, he practiced karate since the first grade of elementary school for 11 years until he moved to Tokyo in the second grade of high school, and also trained boxing for about 2 years. Inspired by EXILE and convinced LDH was the only place to achieve his dream of becoming a singer, Kawamura took part in the EXILE Presents VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 4 ~Yume wo Motta Wakamono Tachi e~ (2014) as his first audition ever. He had entered EXPG and attended a live performance of EXILE for the first time only a month before auditioning, but this experience solidified his ambition to perform on the same stage as the group in the future. Ultimately, he passed the audition as one of three winners out of 30,000 contestants alongside Yoshino Hokuto and Aoyama Riku and became a vocal candidate for THE RAMPAGE. In September of the same year, he was chosen as an official member of the group.
Afterwards, the group entered a training period. Looking back at his pre-debut time, he later revealed that the group actually took a one-year hiatus, which was a major setback in his life and "frustrated him to death". During that time, he worked as a staff member of LDH behind the scenes at senior artists' gigs, washing costumes, cleaning dressing rooms, carrying equipment and distributing lunches to the students of EXPG who were support dancers and other staff members. The situation became so difficult for him that he grew distrustful of people as things didn't go the way he wanted them to, and he was close to quitting. "My mind was collapsing." In this crucial time, his mother supported him and encouraged him to continue. Nevertheless, he later mentioned that he realized this experience had many positive effects, such as the bonds between the members and the way they would approach their work. In January 2017, he debuted in THE RAMPAGE with the release of their first single "Lightning". In October 2018, he made his acting debut in the TV drama PRINCE OF LEGEND, playing the role of Ryu Kyogoku from "Team Kyogoku Brothers". On February 14, he attended the PRINCE OF LEGEND PREMIUM LIVE SHOW, a fan-meeting with the whole PRINCE OF LEGEND cast, at Yokohama Arena. There, he performed "Take on Me", a cover of A-ha's 80s hit and insert song of the show, alongside Suzuki Nobuyuki who portrays the older Kyogoku brother. On September 7, Kawamura was invited to the 29th Tokyo Girls Collection (Autumn/Winter) at Saitama Super Arena together with the main cast of the movie HiGH&LOW THE WORST in which he stars as Fujio Hanaoka. This marked the first time he attended any fashion related event and walked a runway in his career. In 2019, he also starred as Hanaoka Fujio in the drama HiGH&LOW THE WORST EPISODE.O. Kawamura describes this role as the "biggest turning point" since his debut and a "dream come true": "I was happy to see my dream come true because it was a film that many of my predecessors had appeared in, and it was also a film that I had been wanting to appear in since the inception of the project."On February 29, he appeared at the 30th Tokyo Girls Collection (Spring/Summer) alongside the main cast of the movie Kizoku Tanjou -PRINCE OF LEGEND-. In 2022, he was part of the main cast of the horror movie Sadako DX as his first acting role in a non-LDH-produced work.
On June 23, his first photo essay titled SINCERE was released. In November, he started his first serialization titled "I am K." about his own personal preferences, personality, and way of thinking in the fashion magazine ViVi. On April 24, his first photobook titled Etoile was released. On October 26, it was announced at the first day of the LDH LIVE-EXPO 2024 -EXILE TRIBE BEST HITS- concert that Kawamura will be making his solo debut on January 29, 2025 with his first single "Enter".
