Ruchika Jain is a London-based method actor originally from India. She is a graduate in Maths from St. Stephen's College Delhi and in Operations Research from Case Western University USA with a business qualification from Stanford University. She worked for 25+ years in IT before moving to a career in acting.
Her solo performance as Maanika in Polka Theatre's "Maanika and the Wolf" received a 5 star review by West End Best Friend. She has performed across the UK including Curve Theatre, Hope Mill Theatre, Theatre Royal Haymarket, Church Hill Edinburgh and Questor's.
This year she played the lead at King's Head, London in Paul Stone's 'Auntie's House', an LGBTQ+ play based on true events. She is also touring this year as Nanna (one of two performers) in a musical show on Climate Change called "Puddle at the End of the World" at various festivals including The Brighton Fringe, Oxford Arts in the Park and Royal Albert Hall, London.
Her film and TV stints include "The Nan Movie" with Catherine Tate, Warner Brothers' "The Sandman" and "Count Abdulla" on ITVX. She has also starred in several Bollywood films including Kareena Kapoor Khan's "The Buckingham Murders".
Ruchika has starred in several commercials and is in the top 5 of the Classic Miss British Isles modeling competition as Miss SW London.
She is married to Kapil Jain, CEO of eClerx Limited and has two daughters Ayushi and Pranati.
