Marija is a dynamic and versatile young actress based in Riga, Latvia, with a playing age of 17-27 years. Known for her resilience and talent, Marija overcame significant challenges, including being initially asked to leave her acting academy. Her determination paid off, and she was eventually accepted into the esteemed acting ensemble of The New Riga Theatre (JRT). Marija's film credits showcase her range and dedication. She portrayed Nun Beth in the U.S. horror film "Welcome to Mercy" (2018), directed by Tommy Bertelsen, and the lead role of Marta in the Russian short film "On One Breath" (2019) by Maria de Valikhoff. Her notable performances also include Marta Ozolina in the historical Latvian feature "1906" (2019) by Gatis Smits, and the supporting lead role of a mother in the short film "Kaleidoscope" by Antons Barons (LV). Additionally, she has appeared in various popular Latvian TV series. Marija's stage work is equally impressive, earning her three nominations at the Latvian Theatre Actors Award Ceremony: Best Supporting Actress for "Lake of Hopes Frozen" (2018), Supporting Lead for "Beasty Love" (2017), and Supporting Actress for "Autumn in Saint Petersburg" (2013).
