Shaquayla Mims is a writer, producer and director.
In 2018, Shaquayla wrote her first web series and studied the art of TV production, filming and video editing at Fairfax Public Access in Fairfax, VA.
During that time, she partnered with a fellow University of Miami alum, and edited and produced her first short film (When It's Over).
Since then, Shaquayla has worked on a range of productions, most recently, a Netflix feature film directed by Ron Howard.
In March 2019, Shaquayla partnered with six other creatives and co-founded Film Family, a non-profit organization for filmmakers of color to build a collaborative community beyond the screen.
