Jayla Dark

Jayla Dark was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She has a background in Judo and began training to become a pro wrestler in 2009 at the now-defunct Scottish Wrestling Alliance training school in Linwood, Scotland. She made her official debut against Nikki Storm at Source Wrestling under the name "Bete Noire".
She would go on to work for notable companies such as Futureshock Wrestling, Pro-Wrestling: EVE, Bellatrix Female Warriors, Target Wrestling, and Fierce Females. She held the Fierce Females championship, becoming the only champion for the company to defend the belt in Japan against Totoro Satsuki, retaining the title and announcing that she would be retiring from in-ring competition.
In September 2019, Pro-Wrestling: EVE hosted a retirement weekend where Jayla wrestled long-standing rival, Rhia O'Reilly in a no-DQ match resulting in both crashing through a table. The pair shared a drink in the ring after. Jayla Dark had her final match against long-time friend and Ice Ribbon star, Tsukasa Fujimoto. After, Jayla gave a speech saying that wrestling has given her everything and just been "the coolest thing".
In May 2020, Jayla was a part of the Speaking Out movement in wrestling, talking about her own experiences in the business.
On August 2021, Jayla made a return to the ring as a surprise entrant in the Pro-Wrestling: EVE "Wrestlequeendom". She was eliminated by Rhia O'Reilly. After the show, Jayla stated she has no plans to return to the ring. She is currently a commentator for Pro-Wrestling: EVE and acts as an online host for their live stream service.
She is notably close friends with WWE's Piper Niven, having met and trained together at the same wrestling school.
