European born actor, YUL SPENCER, is a multi-talented performer whose
career encompasses television, film, stand-up comedy and animation. Yul
has just recently wrapped the film, The Grind, which will be released
in 2014. He has performed in hit TV shows like The Shield and Comic
View, and his films Funny FutherMuckers, Two Can Play That Game, Nine
Shades of Pleasant, not to mention commercials, Absolut Vodka with Ali
Larter and his Burger King Steakhouse commercial made TBS's TV's
Funniest Commercial. He has appeared in numerous stage plays, Friends
and Lovers, and SAFE, directed by Anthony Ruivivar.
He was a regular stand-up comic at the World Famous Comedy Store and the Improvisation club in Hollywood. Yul's first national stand-up appearance was on the original Arsenio Hall Show. After that he appeared on Comedy Central, HBO, and BET shows. Spencer made numerous appearances at every major comedy club, touring nationally with a huge following in the south. He sometimes refers to himself as the most popular unknown comic having had appeared with comics Chris Tucker, Joe Rogan, Dave Chappelle and many more.
Yul's love for acting spells success. He studies with Ivana Chubbuck and hones his skills regularly at Six01 Studios with the creators Yvonne Jung and Anthony Ruivivar. He has written, starred in and produced his one-man stage play, "Ya' Gotta Go Higher". It was filmed and showcased at LA Femme Festival in the Renberg Theater (Hollywood, CA). Yul is one of the founders of Shoshin Entertainment, producing theatrical productions, developing feature films and television series. When Yul is not performing, he spends his time in numerous philanthropic endeavors.
