Rachel Benaissa is a French actress and writer based in London.
As an actor, she worked with Academy Award nominated director Lenny Abrahamson for her role in BBC TV series 'Normal People', with Aisling Bea on TV Series 'This Way Up', and in 'Murder In Provence' as Clemence Elliot. She will feature as Allegra in upcoming Netflix romcom 'Irish Wish' starring Lindsay Lohan & Ed Speelers.
As a writer, she is represented by The Agency.
Her dramedy feature script 'Juliet Is Fine' placed in the top 10% of the 2020 & 2021 Academy Nicholl Screenwriting Fellowship and as a Finalist in the 2021 PAGE International Screenwriting Awards. Her TV pilot 'Inadequate' placed as a quarterfinalist, in the 2022 Filmatic Pitch Now Screenplay Competition & in the 2022 ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship.
Rachel's television feature for a US network channel has wrapped production in Florida and she is developing her short film 'The Commitment' following it's placing as a Top 5 Finalist in the 2022 Shore Scripts Film Fund.
