- Hayley was born Hayley Cameron Morris in 1978, Ashington, Northumberland UK, to Mary Morris, a publican, and Sydney, an underwater explosives engineer. Her father is of part Italian descent, and her mother English, Scottish, and Jewish ancestry.
Hayley's early performing ambitions leaned toward dance (primarily Royal ballet) and then singing at around the age of 18 years. Hayley's strong interest in acting happened at the age of 40 years having been a supporting artist for 'Vera' and 'Dumping Ground' and she enrolled in the DJW School of Acting, Act4TV and The Actors Forge. She gave a fabulous performance in her first film role as 'Eloise' (Danish mother to 'Bente' in 'Quite by Chance') which went on to win Best Drama at the Royal Television Society Awards and quickly became cast in a number of lead roles.
