Max is a non-binary writer-director and video artist based in Los Angeles. Their multifaceted work explores alienation, gender and the body, aiming to hold up a mirror to the restrictive structures of our world with an eye towards transcendence and a more inclusive future. After graduating from Brown University with a BA in Cultural Anthropology, they received an MFA in Directing at the American Film Institute.
