Dulan Manjula Liyanage is an Sri Lankan Actor and Engineer. Dulan is best known for playing leading roles of "Pencha" in the television series "Sudu Andagena Kalu Awidin" (2019) and Ashan in "Can You Hear Me" (2020-) TV series. For his outstanding performance, He was nominated twice at the Raigam Tele'es Awards (2019) and at the Sumathi Awards (2020) for Best Emerging Actor of the Year.
Dulan's father, Upali Liyanage, worked for the Sri Lanka Examinations Department and he is now retired. Mother's name is B.Pathirana and she is a housewife. Dulan has one brother his name is Prasath Manjula. He is a graphic designer. Dulan was on born September 26, 1992 in Galle, Sri Lanka. He has been passionate about action movies since he was a child. From a young age, his dream was to become one of the 100 best actors in the world. He had that dream in his mind since he was a child. He was educated from the first year up to the Advanced Level at Vidyaloka College, Galle, Sri Lanka. Dulan is a good artist and he can draw well. He has also won in school art competitions. and He also wanted to go up in education. Dulan While still in school he wanted to become an engineer. After completing his higher education, he completed his engineering studies and worked for Access Engineer company, it is one of the number one construction engineering company in Sri Lanka. To do the job, a few years ago he did various studies on acting, and in 2013 at the Aquinas Academy he won Best Actor, Best Director and Best Drama Production. He resigned his job a few years later. It was because of his passion for acting that he had dreamed of since childhood. In 2015, he entered the University of Kelani in Sri Lanka to study for a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2017, he got a minor role in director Chamara Peiris's Teledrama The Batahira Ahasa, which is also his first screen test.
In 2017, He then took part in the screen test for the latest Teledrama by Award-Winning Teledrama director Sunil Costa. Due to Dulan's acting skills, he won the first place out of two hundred students. For the lead role in the Teledrama "Sudu Andagena Kalu Awidin" (2019). it was Dulan first Teledrama starring a main character. It was nominated for fourteen awards at the 2019 Raigam Tele'es Awards and won five awards. Dulan was also nominated for Best Up Coming Actor of the Year 2019. He was also nominated for the Best Up coming Actor award at the Sumathi Awards again in 2020. He also starred in director Supun Ratnayake's 2020 "black town story" TV series Again in the year 2020, director Sunil Costa's "Can You Hear Me?" Played the lead role in the Teledrama.
