Kenji Lee aka. Mr. Chen is an Asian-Australian producer, writer-director, composer, and actor. He is known for directing, writing, and producing former world boxing champion Jeff Horn's short film Slugger (2021), which was well received by Australian news and media outlets. Kenji is also known for playing the lead role of Jason in the Arts Queensland & Scenic Rim Regional Council funded short film Love, Iris: Before the Sun Sets (2023), which he also produced and directed. Kenji is fluent in English, Japanese, and Mandarin. He played tennis professionally until the age of 17 and played on the same Queensland State Team with WTA singles No. 1 Australian professional tennis player Ashleigh Barty in 2006 and 2007. Kenji has a journalism and secondary teaching degree. He was a finalist for the 2019 Queensland Beginning Teacher of the Year Award and 2020 Australian Educators Award. Kenji is also an author.
