Khachatur Vasilian is an Award-winner filmmaker from Ukraine grew up in an Armenian family. He is a graduate of Alexander Sokurov's film laboratory 'KLAS' in 2014. He graduated from Kharkiv State Academy of Culture with a degree in film and television directing. Khachatur has directed several short films that have won prizes at various national and international film festivals. Last year, Khachatur's debut feature film My Young Prince won the Dergkino competition and received an international response even before the shooting. Khachatur's short film 'Human' (2022) has been screened at numerous international film festivals including Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (Oscar Qualifying), International Film Festival of Lanzarote (Goya Qualifying), Sapporo International Short Film Festival & Market, Sarasota Film Festival, etc. In 2022, Khachatur won a grant from Netflix and the Ukrainian Film Academy to develop a sci-fi mini-series.
