Kayla Njeri

Kayla Njeri, a Los Angeles native and Kenyan American, is known for her determined nature, bright talent, and ability to be versatile. She got her start when she followed her little sister to her print ad job, and the producer asked Kayla who she was and when she responded with "a ray of sunshine," the producer hired her on the spot. That sparked Kayla's love and passion for performing and getting laughs. Kayla's breakthrough role came as Mercedes Cooper in Disney + Worlds Best , produced by Thomas Kail and Utkarsh Ambudkar. She most recently acted alongside Yara Shahidi in her new executively produced film "Sitting in Bars with Cake."

Outside of acting, she loves to learn languages and find as many people as possible to practice with her. She is currently conversational in Swahili and Korean and wants to add more languages to the mix. She hopes to travel and learn the languages of the places she works in.
