Malini Karthikeyan is a costume designer based out of Chennai and Mumbai. She studied at NIFT Chennai, batch of 2018, and went on to join Team-E and work alongside renowned costume designer Eka Lakhani.
She started off her career with Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, directed by legendary film maker Mani Ratnam. This film served as the basis for her award winning graduation project titled 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Costumes by Eka Lakhani', available at the library of NIFT Chennai. Following which, she gained substantial experience helming teams and handling sets while working on Adithya Varma, Jestination Unknown, Fanney Khan, Radhe Shyam, and the web series Queen.
Her first independent work as a Costume Designer started with Vaanam Kottattum, several TV commercials as well as independent music videos. Presently, she is working on Ponniyin Selvan, slated to release in 2022.
