Timothy Blinko has several forthcoming film music commissions.
He writes for all media with many international broadcasts, recordings, publications and performances and likes to touch people with what he writes - The Times has described his music as 'euphoric.'
He is also fascinated by the relationship of music and film narrative, enhancing people, pace and place through sound and the multi-layered immersivity of contemporary soundtrack composition.
Timothy is also Professor of Music at Hertfordshire, one of the UK's largest university music departments where his practice in film scoring forms the basis of his innovative research. He also gave masterclasses in conducting at the University of Cambridge for 10 years and was awarded the Bliss PRS scholarship at the Royal College of Music, becoming a Junior Professor there at the age of 22.
Director, Arno Crous:
'Timothy Blinko is brilliant at creating strong melodies that are beautifully and carefully tailored to the unfolding story on screen. He deploys a wide range of textures and creates music that is very evocative and when appropriate very moving.
'Tim is very pro-active, hardworking, efficient and organised. He has approached my film with lots of enthusiasm and positivity. He is also flexible and good at making modifications in line with direction but without losing character in the process. He is very personable and friendly. I very much like working with him and hope to do so again many more times in the future.'
