Following the global success of Cunk on Earth, pioneering documentary-maker Philomena Cunk (Diane Morgan) will return with her most ambitious quest to date; venturing right up the universe and everything, to examine life itself.
“What’s the point of it all?” is a question humans have been asking themselves since the dawn of time. But as we cling to our dying planet, working round the clock while we’re slowly being replaced by machines, now more than ever, people are desperately looking to make sense of their lives – before someone invents a computer that makes sense of it for them.
This one off special will see Philomena Cunk tackle some of the most complex concepts to have ever been discovered, including Quantum Physics, Existentialism, Nihilism, Hedonism – and at least four other isms – as well as exploring subjects from the big bang to biology, morals to meditation and art to artificial intelligence.

Lucia Keskin will be best familiar with audiences for her brilliant videos on social media, with a series of viral clips that has given her a platform to showcase her comedic flair. Still just 23 years old, she has written her own sitcom for the BBC, entitled Things You Should Have Done, where she also takes on the leading role.
Ahead of the show’s launch, on BBC Three on February 29 – we had the pleasure in speaking to the talented performer on Zoom, complete with her two dogs, as we discuss the genesis for the project, and how she managed to get a comedy about a young woman losing both her parents to a car crash, off the ground. She speaks about the art of collaboration, her future ambitions – and on the stigma of social media.

Sitcom Things You Should Have Done is heading to BBC Three, and here’s the trailer for the new show.
Sadly, new comedy on television is becoming rarer and rarer, as budgets tighten and production companies become ever more risk averse. Currently, Mrs Brown’s Boys and Not Going Out stand as the only two studio audience sitcoms still on the air, and even then, Not Going Out has not yet officially been recommissioned.
BBC Three has long been a champion of new comedy, from Sean Lock’s wonderful 15 Storeys High to Gavin And Stacey, Him & Her and Back To Life.
Now, it is home to new sitcom Things You Should Have Done. According to the BBC Media Centre, the synopsis reads as follows:
Self-confessed stay-at-home-daughter, Chi (Lucia Keskin), is suddenly forced to fend for herself when her parents die. Chi will inherit the house on condition she completes...

David Mitchell is returning to the BBC for genre-bending detective comedy Ludwig, which features on a five-strong comedy slate alongside Hulu co-production Dinosaur and a show from The Duchess star Michelle de Swarte.
Unveiling his first major comedy slate at this afternoon’s BBC Comedy Festival in Cardiff, the corporation’s Comedy Director Jon Petrie said the shows reflect “the depth and range of our offerings which champion British creativity.”
The slate is led by Ludwig, Peep Show star Mitchell’s first BBC project since Upstart Crow, which follows the eponymous protagonist as he takes on the identity of his brother, Dci James Taylor, who has disappeared off the face of the earth. Mitchell’s Ludwig lives in quiet solitude, designing puzzles for a living under his nom-de-plume, and he struggles to adapt to being a twin who happens to be a successful Dci leading Cambridge’s busy inner-city major crimes team.

The funeral of Queen Elizabeth II is expected to be one of the most-watched TV events of all time… but it won’t be watched on the U.K.’s Channel 5.
Instead of airing live coverage of the monarch’s historic funeral, the British broadcaster opted to show the 2017 film, “The Emoji Movie”.
The only major broadcaster in the UK to not carry the Queen’s funeral live on Monday, Channel 5 opted for children’s counterprogramming with a lineup that includes “The Emoji Movie”, “Stuart Little”, “Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs”, and “Sing”.

Variety is, as they say, the spice of life, and it’s important to ensure there are always some options available, especially when the only other thing going on is a funeral. That’s why Britain’s Channel 5 is doing its TV-watching constituents a true national service by broadcasting The Emoji Movie and other children’s flicks during Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.
As expected, there will be wall-to-wall coverage of the Queen’s funeral in England (and elsewhere) today, Sept. 19. Even stations that aren’t necessarily airing the funeral proceedings,...

Paramount Global-owned network Channel 5 was the only U.K. public service broadcaster not to show any royal-related coverage on Monday (Sept. 19) while Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral was taking place in London.
While BBC One, BBC Two and ITV broadcast the funeral live and Channel 4 showed a documentary on the Queen, Channel 5 instead broadcast “The Emoji Movie,” inspiring much mirth on social media.
“No way every channel’s showing the funeral and Channel 5 s showing ‘The Emoji Movie,'” tweeted one viewer while another wrote: “I can’t stop thinking about ‘The Emoji Movie’ on Channel 5 when the funeral is on.”
