Black Mirror (2011)
Black Mirror is getting its own comic book line
Black Mirror (2011)
Banijay Rights has teamed up with Twisted comics to turn selected Black Mirror storylines into comic books.

Black Mirror season seven is currently in the works, but Charlie Brooker’s cult series is about to leap off the screen, too.

Banijay Rights has teamed up with Twisted Comics to bring some of the series’ storylines from the screen to the page, as reported by Deadline. Twisted Comics will be creating “immersive comic books comprising iconic Black Mirror storylines” that will be available in mid-2025.

“It has long been a dream of mine to extend Black Mirror – one of my ‘hero brands’ – into comic book form. Now that dream is a reality, and I believe fans of the show will love what we are planning. Watch this space,” said Neil Gibson, the founder of Twisted Comics.

A dedicated website will go up in early 2025, and fans will be able to pre-order the books.

‘Black Mirror’ Storylines To Feature In Comic Books From Twisted Comics & Banijay Rights

Exclusive: Some of Black Mirror‘s most memorable storylines are to be retold in a series of comic books next year.

Banijay Rights, the global distribution arm of Black Mirror ancillary rights holder Banijay Entertainment, has struck a deal with Neil Gibson’s UK-based Twisted Comics to create comics based on the dystopian anthology series.

Described as “immersive comic books comprising iconic Black Mirror storylines,” the products will begin rolling out in mid-2025, with pre-release material being made available through a dedicated website earlier in the year.

Black Mirror, which Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones initially created for Channel 4 in the UK and is now on Netflix globally, is gearing up for a seventh season. Many of the darkly satirical storylines are set in alternate realities or near-future worlds and explore how new technologies can spiral out of control.

The likes of Awkwafina, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Paul Giamatti), Lewis Gribben,...

Action-packed international intrigue explodes in “The Swiss Conspiracy” on special collector’s edition Blu-ray & DVD – February 2024
Image
Action-paced, international intrigue ensues when a Swiss bank president hires an American investigator to ferret out a group of blackmailers who have been terrorizing his clients in The Swiss Conspiracy, available 20th February 2024 in a special collector’s edition on Blu-ray and DVD from Film Masters.

Scanned in 4K from original 35mm archival elements, The Swiss Conspiracy has never seen a high-quality release to date. Film Masters has enlisted colorist and restoration expert Marc Wielage to painstakingly bring back vibrant and original colors that have not been seen since this film made its original debut in 1976.

Shot entirely in and around Zurich, The Swiss Conspiracy, based on the hit novel by Michael Stanley, was directed by Jack Arnold, best known for B horror/cult movie classics such as The Incredible Shrinking Man, Tarantula, Creature from the Black Lagoon, It Came from Outer Space and The Tattered Dress. One of the...

Exclusive Zombex One-Sheet Premiere; Actor Lew Temple Talks!
It’s been awhile since we reported on writer/director Jesse Dayton’s zombie feature Zombex, but that all changes today with a first look at the new one-sheet for the flick as well as word from star Lew Temple on the production.

“I star in it along with Malcolm McDowell and Sid Haig,” said Temple, who currently can be seen on Season Three of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” as "Axel" (look for an extensive interview with the actor coming soon), of Zombex.

“It’s about a conspiracy in which the government is using New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina as a test zone for post-traumatic stress medicines,” continued the actor, whose previous genre turns include Trailer Park of Terror, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, and Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects and Halloween, among others.

“This is headed up by an evil pharmaceutical company (overseen by McDowell...

Jesse Dayton Discusses New Zombex Project And Provides Production Stills
Musician, actor, writer, director...there is surely no end to this guy's talents? Jesse Dayton is currently hard at work in post-production on his new horror project 'Zombex'. The movie heralds the debut feature from the Texan in which he both wrote and directed. The boys over at Dread Central were able to catch up with him recently to get some juicy gossip from the production of what sounds like a cool zombie ride. In addition to the interview they were also good enough to reveal some great new looking production stills, which you can check out below. Lew Temple, David Christopher, Malcolm McDowell ('Halloween'), Sid Haig ('The Devil's Rejects'), Corey Feldman ('The Lost Boys'), John Doe, Tom Araya and Kinky Friedman all star....

Exclusive: Jesse Dayton Talks Zombex; Production Stills Debut!
Musician Jesse Dayton may be best known to genre fans as “Captain Clegg,” the front man to the psychobilly band seen in Rob Zombie’s Halloween II, as he not only performed under the moniker in the film but also was the opening act on Zombie’s music tour that kicked off later that year as well.

Now Dayton is gearing up to show his fans out there another side of himself as the writer/director just wrapped production on his first feature film entitled Zombex, a zombie flick that explores the concept that maybe pharmaceutical companies could actually be dastardly enough to be responsible for creating a zombie apocalypse through the distribution of their medicinal products.

Starring Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange), Corey Feldman (The Lost Boys), Lew Temple (The Devil’s Rejects), Sid Haig (House of 1000 Corpses), David Christopher (The Sinner), Slayer lead singer Tom Araya, Emily Kaye...

Depression treatment gone haywire! Turns users into zombies in Zombex!
Where most zombie movies centre around people trying to kill the zombie hordes, Jesse Dayton's Zombex might have something else on up its sleeve. Here's the official synopsis:

Zombex tells the story of a post-Katrina New Orleans as it deals with a new disaster, a zombie apocalypse. Gone is the depression and post-traumatic stress of the hurricane, thanks to the revolutionary Zombex, a rogue, yet, "clinically-proven" anti-depressant pharmaceutical manufactured by a nefarious organization. For the residents of the Big Easy everything is just now turning around for them. Or, is it just the anti-depressant Zombex talking. It is. Just as quickly as the city seemingly turned around, it turns again. Only this time, turning Nola's inhabitants into the city's walking dead.

Reading that, I can't help but think that this "nefarious organization" is out to create a zombie horde. For what purpose is yet to be revealed.

As cool as this story sounds,...
