- Decided to write his own screenplay with a major part in it for himself. "The Way" film is a direct result of this desire.

- In 2000 he decided to become a certified personal trainer and not wait tables anymore. He achieved his certification by A.C.E. and has been a personal trainer ever since.

- An honorary observer at the Actor's Studio in 1979 where he acted in a play called "The Consoling Virgin" opposite another observer named James Hayden.
- Grew up in Astoria, Queens and attended the High School of Art and Design in New York City, class of 1969.
- Born "Barry Schaeffer" and is still known by this name in certain circles.
