Steve has been involved in film, television, live production, music and the media industry in many facets as a producer, director, cinematographer, and writer for over 20 years.
Following his heart to Africa Steve has took a short hiatus from "Hollywood" to film a human/wildlife conflict documentary series over the last year, for the Outdoor Channel. His decision to be on the front lines of conservation with anti-poaching teams and wildlife conservationists has changed him forever. Steve hopes his efforts and love for wildlife will make an impact that will continue to raise global awareness for the survival of some of the planet's most amazing animals.
Last year, Steve completed principle photography on the feature film "Car Dogs" (making rounds in the film festival circuit). He was fortunate to participate on this unique project as a department head and mentor. He provided ASU film students with first hand work experience filming a Hollywood feature film. An ensemble cast that included: Octavia Spencer (Academy Award Winner), Nia Vardalos (Academy Award Nominated), George Lopez, Patrick J. Adams (Suits),Dash Mihok (Ray Donovan, Silver Linings Playbook) and Josh Hopkins (Cougar Town).
Steve was also part of the producing team behind the NBC/Lionsgate television series, "Fear Itself" and the prime time Emmy/Saturn award-winning series "Masters Of Horror" with director: John Landis, John Carpenter, Tom Holland, Brad Anderson, Joe Dante, Darren Lynn Bousman and many more... Some of Steve's other credits include Associate Producer and Music Supervisor for the NBC/SyFy television series, "Flash Gordon".
He has produced/directed numerous industrial commercial and live projects over the last decade, and in 2009 he was an integral part of the directing/creative and technical team for the Junos Music Awards Gala in Vancouver. He had the privilege of directing a multi-camera, live awards show featuring performances by Canada's top music artists. Leading up to the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, Steve produced and directed a high-definition, multi-camera live tour, hosted by TSN's Rod Black, which highlighted Canada's most recognized winter Olympic medalists and athletes. In 2007, his cinematic eye and passion for storytelling took him oversees to film a private concert in Venice, Italy with world renowned tenor, Andrea Bocelli. Soon after, Steve traveled to Israel where he filmed and documented the extraordinary life events of a WWII Auschwitz, Mengele survivor. Steve started producing television in 1998, when he worked on a variety of CTV (Canadian Television Network) projects. He was a Producer/ Creative Consultant for "V", a one-hour variety entertainment series and Associate Producer of four, one-hour, national music specials for CTV.
