Jim McMahon (he/him) is a writer/producer and co-owner of Blue Midnight Pictures, a documentary production company he runs with his partner Talleah Bridges McMahon. His recent projects include producing an episode of the HBO Max documentary series Through Our Eyes (2021) for Sesame Workshop and post-supervising the Amazon Studios feature documentary My Name Is Pauli Murray (2021) for Storyville Films and Participant Media. Previously, he was an executive producer at SundanceTV in New York, where he oversaw the channel's on-air promotion for award-winning series including The Staircase (2004), Top of the Lake (2013), and Rectify (2013). He is also a short form writer-producer-director and has produced two narrative features including director Yen Tan's film Ciao (2008), which was nominated for the Queer Lion at the Venice Film Festival. He has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Montana, Missoula.
