Liam and Noel Gallagher have hinted at a possible Oasis reunion taking place in 2025. Update: Oasis, indeed, have officially announced a handful of reunion concerts slated for the UK and Ireland in summer 2025.

Over the weekend, UK media buzzed with various reports that the brothers would reunite next summer for a series of concerts. One report from the Times of London has Oasis playing multiple shows in Heaton Park in Manchester and Wembley Stadium in London, as well as headlining Glastonbury.

Although the Gallaghers haven’t directly confirmed these reports, both brothers took to social media on Sunday to tease an announcement set for Tuesday, August 27th, at 8:00 a.m. GMT. Further adding fuel to the fire, Oasis’ official social media channels are promoting the same upcoming announcement.

Oasis last performed together in 2009, when Noel dramatically quit the band just before their set at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

One of the most famous busted instruments in rock history — the guitar that was broken in the final blowout fight between Noel and Liam Gallagher before Oasis broke up — has sold at auction for €385,500, or about 405,000, The Guardian reports.

Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher surprised fans when his band Beady Eye included two Oasis songs in their set Thursday night. This is the first time Gallagher has publicly played tracks from the Oasis catalog since the band's infamous split in 2009.

Beady Eye -- comprised of former Oasis band members Liam, Gem Archer, Andy Bellplayed and rounded by drummer Chris Sharrock -- performed two Noel Gallagher-penned tracks, "Rock 'N' Roll Star" and "Morning Glory." The band also premiered a new song, written by Liam, titled, "The World's Not Set in Stone."

The singer reveals that he has never sounded so awesome previously. He has also said that he plans to bring out a single before 2010 ends and his band would come out with its debut CD in the summer of 2011.
