Turkish writer, screenwriter.
He graduated from Galatasaray High School and Bogazici University, Department of Business Administration.
In 1994, he started to write film reviews and cinema articles in the "Antrakt" magazine. His cinema articles were later published in the magazines Sinema, Altyazi and Filmarti. He drew attention with his articles in the column of Seyir Defteri in Sinema magazine. Throughout his long years of writing, he has succeeded in developing an original style that brings together cinema lovers and literature readers.
He co-wrote the script of the movie "Karisik Pizza", shot in 1996, with Tamer Baran. Later, he wrote the screenplays of "Ses" and Annemin Yarasi in the cinema, and Poyraz Karayel, Anne and Vatanim Sensin on television.
He co-wrote and directed two short films, "Dogum" and "Ölüm", which won various awards in Turkey and abroad, together with Burcu Aykar.
His first novel, "Anne Tut Elimi", was published in 2004. He received various accolades for his smooth narration and simple, humble approach to human reality while covering the mysterious world of an 11-year-old girl. His other published novels are "Büyük Deniz Yükseliyor" and "Karisik Kaset". "Karisik Kaset" was also adapted into a movie. There is a river conversation book called "Yusuf'un Rüyasi".
He worked as a copywriter, creative group chairman and creative director at various advertising agencies for more than 15 years.
