Her initial foray into music saw her sign her first publishing deal with Zomba Publishing, swiftly followed by her breakthrough as a record producer with Jive Records. She conducted the London Symphony Orchestra, which led to her invitation to conduct at the Royal Albert Hall in London. ClassiKhan, recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, featured guest appearances by pianist Joe Sample and percussionist Sheila E. People magazine named ClassiKhan the "best jazz standards record of the decade." Eve arranged for and performed live with Chaka Kahn, Seal, Rufus Wainwright and James Taylor among others at Joni Mitchell's 75th tribute concert at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
