Ekrem Kongar, who was born in Ottoman Empire in Macedonia Kalkandelen 1913, comes to Istanbul with his young family. Ekrem Kongar took part in the Men's Chorus under the direction of Mesut Cemil in Istanbul Saray Cinema in 1938. He started to work as a soloist at Ankara Radio in 1940. In 1943, he entered the executive committee of the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory. In !949, Istanbul Radio retires from the radio as a Turkish Music artist. He died in Istanbul 21 December 1994
