Des Doyle is a Dublin Institute Of Technology graduate in Film Production who spent 15 years working in the Camera Dept in the Irish Film Industry before moving to writing and directing.
He is the writer/director of the critically acclaimed documentary "Showrunners: The Art of Running A TV Show", featuring J.J. Abrams (Alias, Person Of Interest, Fringe), Damon Lindelof (Watchmen, Lost), Robert and Michelle King (The Good Wife, The Good Fight), Ronald D. Moore (Outlander, Battlestar Galactica, For All Mankind) and Bill Prady (The Big Bang Theory) among others.
The film was a Number 1 selling documentary on the US and Canada ITunes chart and was also sold to Netflix, Amazon Prime & the US Broadcaster Starz as well as more than 20 international territories. The film was also honoured by the Television Academy Of America who hosted it's LA premiere. The success of the documentary also led to the accompanying bestselling book "Showrunners" written by Tara Bennett and published by Titan Books.
