Kochi, April 29 ( Ians) Actors Darshana Rajendran and Roshan Mathew-starrer Malayalam film ‘Paradise’ won the Audience Jury Award at the 23rd Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival in Spain.

Directed by Prasanna Vithanage and co-written by Prasanna and Anushka Senanayake, ‘Paradise’, is a tale of emotion, struggle, and resilience.

Produced by Newton Cinemas and presented by Mani Ratnam under the banner of his production company, Madras Talkies, ‘Paradise’ is the first Indian film shot entirely in Sri Lanka.

The audience award is conferred by pre-selected members of the audience, chosen from among the feature films showcased in the Official Feature Films Section of the festival.

The award was received by the director at the closing ceremony of the festival.

The streaming platform shared the news on its social media handles on Monday, September 25, 2023. King of Kotha, which hit the theatres on August 24, 2023, ahead of Onam, will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from September 29, 2023.

King of Kotha is a gangster drama directed by Abhilash Joshiy and written by Dr. Randheer Krishnan. The movie features Dulquer Salmaan as Raju Madrasi, a former don who returns to his old turf, Kotha, after a long gap. Exclusive: Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio has penned an ITV drama about a doctor in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic starring Joanne Froggatt.

Mercurio co-wrote Breathtaking with Rachel Clarke, the author of the 2021 novel that the show is based on, and Prasanna Puwanarajah, who played Martin Bashir in The Crown Season 5. All three are qualified doctors.

"It would have been a wonderful experience to marry Sneha all over again. In fact, to marry someone else on screen made me miss her more than ever. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed getting married on screen for Kss," Prasanna told Ians.
