Spyros Syrmos

Spyros Syrmos was born in Athens.
He has had work presented in Greece and in the UK by several ensembles and orchestras. His work include, orchestral and chamber music, opera, film music, ballet, sound art installations, and traditional music arrangements from south Italy. He won the Flourish new Opera competition in 2013 by OperaUpClose for his work The Blank Canvas. The Off West End Award winning 90min opera The Blank Canvas with a libretto by Fay Wrixon is his debut Opera. Premiered at the King's Head Theatre in London in 31st August 2014. Produced by OperaUpClose and directed by Lucy Bradley.
