Odette Blanch
- Second Unit Director or Assistant Director
- Writer
- Director
A post graduate of Ryerson University, Ms. Blanch is the grand niece of acclaimed writer and historian Itic Swartz Cara. Having a passion for the theatre at a young age, Ms.Blanch served as an intern at a Florida Studio Theater. She was also the assistant to the Artistic Director at Blacklight Theater. As a child and teen model/actor with small roles and background parts, Ms. Blanch came to be known as "the annoying girl" who asked all the techs how things worked. She was more interested in behind the scenes instead of being in front of the camera.
Throughout the upcoming years she worked in independent non union and some union films. Thus becoming a member of the DGC. (Directors Guild Canada). Directing films and being inspired by company owners, producers such as Sherry Lansing, Steven Spielberg and my mentor Michael Anderson enabled her to visualize original novels. She has written several screenplays in either collaboration or solo writing endeavors.
Ms. Blanch is making it her aim to brand Past Lives Productions Inc as the entity that will bring change while inspiring others by collaborating with those that have multiple arms of creativity.
As a Director she will leave a legacy of films specifically designed for those upcoming generations to have their relatable stories interwoven with the total intent to inspire others
