Anne Wersching passed away from cancer on January 29, 2023, only two months before her 46th birthday on March 28.

Had played the nemesis of Nathan Fillion's character in both Castle (2009) and The Rookie (2018).

During her youth, she competed in Irish Dancing and performed with the St. Louis Celtic Stepdancers.

Had three sons with husband Stephen Full: Freddie Wersching Full (b. August 8, 2010), Ozzie Wersching Full (b. August 4, 2013), and Archie Wersching Full (b. November 25, 2018).

Had appeared with Kiefer Sutherland in both 24 (2001) and Touch (2012).

Received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois (1999).

Had played the mother of Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder in The Vampire Diaries (2009). Although she was only a little more than five years older than Paul and a little less than two years older than Ian.

Her mother, Sandy Wersching, who owned a flower shop in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away in 2011.

Attended and graduated from Crossroads College Preparatory School in St. Louis, Missouri (1995).
