Much like Majima Everywhere, out of nowhere today the official Ryu Ga Gotoku Twitter account and Amazon announced that the Like a Dragon video game series is inspiring a live-action series based on the life of Kazuma Kiryu. Titled Like a Dragon: Yakuza , the series will tell a story of Kiryu’s life that the games “have not been able to explore.” The series is set to be directed by Masaharu Take ( The Naked Director ) with scripts from Sean Crouch ( The 100 ) & Yugo Nakamura and Japanese scripts from Yasuhiro Yoshida and Kana Yamada. There's nothing like the last stretch of the story to bring around a bottle episode.
But in case fans didn't notice that this Game of Thrones-inspired night before the big battle episode was focused on containing storylines, all the bottles scattered around made it clear as day.
The 100 yet again lost itself in an effort to wrap up characters and start last-minute points of conflict.
There are now only two episodes left, and the show has never been more lost in the direction of its story.
During The 100 Season 7 Episode 14, Clarke appears on Earth right after killing Bellamy. Even though there is a way out, she kills it and creates the Obstacle of the Week. The 100 Season 7 is here!
Sadly, this will be the last outing for The 100. CW President Mark Pedowitz confirmed during the network’s 2019 Summer TCA press tour appearance that The 100 season 7 will be the show’s final season, though it may live on in a prequel series.
As a midseason premiere, The 100 was one of the lucky shows to wrap up production before the Covid-19 hit, so we will be getting an entire season of the science fiction drama. Production on Season 7 started back up in August and wrapped in March, so the entire season is good to go, unlike some other CW productions that had to shut down production before the season finished.
Here’s our review of the latest episode, “Etherea.”
What’s next? “The Stranger.” Check out the promo below…

How many people have to die for our "heroes" to get where they need to be?
The limit doesn't exist, but they will keep trying to figure that magic number out.
And the timing has never been more perfect, with the next war coming up in their rearview mirror soon.
During The 100 Season 7 Episode 4, the Sanctum story and the Skyring plot gets weaved together. Echo, Hope, and Gabriel's time on Skyring were sped up as they formed a connection with Orlando.
Meanwhile, Hope's past was explored again, and a new friendship was introduced from her time on Skyring as a child.
All of the details finally came together to have the group in Sanctum line up with the Skyring trio, only for half of them to end up in Bardo, and the other half on a planet we assume is Nakara.
And just when things took a turn, Gaia ended...

We may be running out new episodes of many of our favorite TV shows, but there is one piece of TV good news: The 100 Season 7 is almost here and, as it finished production just before the production shutdowns due to Covid-19, there’s no reason to believe we won’t be getting all of it. Gearing up for The 100 Season 7 launch on May 20th, The CW has released the episode titles and synopses for the first four episodes of the final season. Here’s what we know…
The 100 Season 7 premiere is titled “From The Ashes,” and is followed by “The Garden,” “False Gods” and “Hesperides.”
“From The Ashes” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. Et)
Season Premiere – Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and her friends attempt to rebuild Sanctum as a new threat rises in the woods. Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropuolos, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles, Shannon Kook, Jr Bourne, Shelby Flannery and Chuku Modu also star.

Lore Season 2 arrives on October 19. One of its stars, Emmett Scanlan, shares what it’s like to portray a serial killer.
The only thing less expected than a TV show adapted from a podcast is a second season of a TV show adapted from a podcast.
And yet, here is Lore Season 2, Amazon Prime's second go-around of the adaptation of Aaron Mahnke's horror podcast.
Like the podcast it was inspired by, Lore takes true creepy stories from history, including the develoment of lobotomies and the tragically grim story of vampirism in early America. In the show's first season, Mahnke provide his trademark narration as actors re-enacted the events therein.
For Lore Season 2, however, producers Mahnke, Gale Anne Hurd, Howard T. Owens, and Sean Crouch (who will also serve as new showrunner) are going for something a little different. After listening to fan feedback, Lore has decided to resemble Lore,...

Spoiler Alert: This story includes details about the ninth season of The Walking Dead and the second season of Lore.
Exclusive: “Change for the sake of change is not helpful,” cautions The Walking Dead and Lore executive producer Gale Anne Hurd. “I think how a show handles that change and can reinvent itself while still remaining true to what it was that fans embraced from the very beginning is the litmus test of a show’s continued longevity,” she adds, with both the returning AMC blockbuster and the Amazon Prime Video true horror series having had more than their fair share of shifts for the new seasons.
Along with a new showrunner in Angela Kang, Twd will see big changes with the departure of original cast member Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan in its October 7 premiering ninth season.

Lore is coming back for its second season on Amazon just a little bit closer to Halloween than last time, Comic-Con learned today with a scary peek at the series.
The hybrid anthology series based on Aaron Mahnke’s popular and often horrifying 2015-launched podcast will return on October 19, six days and a year after Season 1 launched on the Jeff Bezos streaming service
“It is scarier, it is really scarier,” executive producer Gale Anne Hurd told the San Diego Convention Center on Friday as the new Lore trailer (see above) and Season 2 debut date were revealed.
“The scope is much larger but the stories are much more intimate,” The Walking Dead Ep added, noting that along with former Exorcist showrunner Sean Crouch joining Lore’s second season, the likes of Twd alum Alicia Witt and Steven Berkoff are among the cast.

Exclusive: Amazon made it very clear earlier this year with a big Super Bowl ad that Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is a big priority for them and the Jeff Bezos company are aiming to seal that deal at Comic-Con next month.
In fact, with a Jack Ryan participating panel and massive immersive experience just outside the San Diego Convention Center, Amazon is bringing its best and brightest to the confab, I’ve learned.
No word if Jack Ryan star John Krasinski or Good Omens’ Michael Sheen or former Doctor Who David Tennant will be in Ballroom 20 on July 20 but a Hell of a lot of the creatives of the two upcoming shows sure will be. Instead of individualized panels for this year’s Sdcc, Amazon have set one mega-panel with a few planned surprises and some world premiering footage.

Fox has been busy with both firing actors and canceling shows, lately. And unfortunately for horror fans, one of the many casualties is The Exorcist. Season 2 of the series dropped in the ratings quite a bit, averaging 1.32 million viewers, and though it’s plausible that the pending Fox and Disney merger played a significant role in the show’s demise as well, the writing has been on the wall here for a while now.
Creator and writer on The Exorcist, Jeremy Slater, had mapped out a story arc with series co-producer Sean Crouch that would have spanned seven seasons. While the first outing was not as successful as Fox had hoped it would be, even with Geena Davis’ star power, the show still managed to pass for a second. A cult following had since been established within the horror community as well, with fans having willingly adapted to each new character and situation.

“The Exorcist” has been canceled at Fox after two seasons.
Created by Jeremy Slater, the psychological and spiritual horror drama first premiered during the 2016-17 television season but entered into a new chapter in its second season, which launched in September 2017.
The series starred Alfonso Herrera, Ben Daniel and Kurt Egyiawan. John Cho appeared in the second season as a man running a group home in which a child was targeted by a powerful demon. It came from Morgan Creek Productions in association with 20th Century Fox Television and was executive-produced by Slater, Sean Crouch, Jason Ensler, Rupert Wyatt, Roy Lee, James Robinson, David Robinson and Barbara Wall.
“The Exorcist” was Fox’s lowest-rated program this year, averaging 1.32 million total viewers and a 0.41 rating in the 18-49 demo.
The cancellation comes after Fox axed comedies “The Last Man on Earth,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” and “The Mick” on Thursday and “Lucifer” earlier on Friday.

Fox’s well received but low rated horror drama series The Exorcist has been axed after two seasons.
The series, which starred Geena Davis in its first season, started off with a lot of promise. “This show is going to turn heads,” Fox chairman Gary Newman said of The Exorcist to a lot of chuckles (and a few groans) in one of the more memorable lines from the network’s 2016 upfront presentation.
The Exorcist was met with some of the best reviews for a new series that fall, and the acclaim continued in Season 2. But, scheduled on Friday nights, the series adaptation of the classic 1973 movie never got traction. In its most recent second season, it averaged a paltry 0.6 adults 18-49 Live+7 rating.
Putting the horror series on Friday nights was “tough for that show,” Newman told Deadline in March. “We had hoped that we would be able to tap...

The Exorcist, Fox’s frightening movie-to-tv anthology series about the fragile barrier between this life and the next, really hit the ground running in its first year with a 10-part story involving one family’s case of demonic possession.
Loosely based on William Peter Blatty’s novel – itself a sequel to the 1973 classic of the same name – The Exorcist finished up its second season late last year and despite another strong batch of ambitious episodes that showed a lot of promise, we’re now hearing that it may be getting the axe. And that’s pretty surprising, given that everyone involved seemed pretty gung-ho about it just this past summer.
If you recall, back at Comic-Con, Jeremy Slater and Sean Crouch – series creator and co-executive producer, respectively – revealed that The Exorcist could span “six or seven seasons” by adhering to the anthology format. That is, each new season would center on a different story.

Ready for more Lore? Amazon has renewed its podcast-based horror anthology series for a second season, with a new showrunner...
Lore arrived last fall on Amazon Prime as a quirky curiosity of an anthology series that – based on Aaron Mahnke’s popular podcast – delves into the concept of folklore-based horror with a documentary approach. While Lore isn’t the kind of horror series that instills unbridled sleep-depriving terror, its original approach did resonate with audiences, leading Amazon to order a second helping.

For those of you who are fans of the Lore podcast and the Lore TV series, you'll be happy to hear that Amazon has renewed the series for Season 2. I enjoyed the first season of the series and I'm excited to see what stories will be explored in Season 2:
The series explores the real-life frightening and disturbing tales that give rise to modern-day myths and legends. Season two will feature new tales from the podcast, as well as original stories not yet available in podcast form. In addition, it will star new castmembers. The hybrid series will continue to feature narration, archive footage and animation to complement the filmed segments.
Heather Schuster, head of unscripted at Amazon Originals, had this to say in a statement:
"Customers loved the first season of Lore for its unique blend of narrative and documentary storytelling, and we’re excited to give them another...

The Exorcist: Geena Davis' (Possible) Return, John Cho's Arriving 'Mistress' and More Season 2 Scoop
There was not a single spinning head nor did anyone projectile vomit when the (partially new) cast and EPs of Fox’s The Exorcist sat down with me to dish about the series’ drastically different second season, but I did manage to expel a fair amount of scoop out of the assembled parties.

Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool) and John Cho (Star Trek Beyond) are the latest additions to the world of The Exorcist TV series, joining several returning actors in a new season that will take Father Marcus (Ben Daniels) and Father Tomas (Alfonso Herrera) from the streets of Chicago to a foster home off the West Coast. While at Comic-Con in San Diego, Daily Dead took part in interview roundtables with The Exorcist cast and executive producers Jeremy Slater and Sean Crouch, who shared what fans can expect in the second season that premieres on Friday, September 29th on Fox.
When did you find out that you were joining the cast, and what can you tell us about your character?

While Fox’s flagship panel and its presentation of Kingsman: The Golden Circle stole headlines left, right, and center, the company also staged a handful of smaller Sdcc showcases for some of its other properties. Case in point: The Exorcist.
Featuring a smattering of cast and crew members, the show’s panel took place yesterday evening, where key creative players like Jeremy Slater and executive producer Sean Crouch solicited questions about what The Exorcist season 2 has in store. Spoilers: if you’re at all familiar with Japanese horror, you may recognize the general aesthetic of the show’s sophomore season.
In fact, by relocating to the Pacific Northwest, it’s clear Fox is toying with an anthology format when it comes to The Exorcist, which may well allow the series to succeed where other film-to-tv adaptations (see: Minority Report, 24: Legacy, Emerald City) have failed. And so, gone are Geena Davis,...

Despite the threat of Constance Sutton and the Illaria corporation overshadowing proceedings at the facility over the past two days, the threat of the Narvik virus continues to be a pressing concern, with a cure still nowhere in sight. With Dr. Walker now back with the rest of the team, this week’s episode sees the non-infected inhabitants of the facility make their first strike against the infected group, in a tense episode that sees unlikely characters form alliances in pursuit of a larger goal.
The apparent ascension of Peter to leadership role among the infected is a fascinating development. Not much is known about those infected by the Narvik virus so far, but their discovery and descent into Level X this week, as well as the display of a clear hierarchical structure,...
