Sandy Huong Pham
- Actress
Sandy Huong Pham was born in the year 1980 in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam where she resides. Her Father was in the military and her Mother was working several jobs to take care of Sandy and her two siblings. Sandy, like most young Vietnamese children growing up in the difficult years following the American war in Vietnam, has learned the challenges and benefits of hard work which she hopes to share as an example of today's youth in Vietnam.
Sandy began her modeling and acting career over 10 years ago appearing in television and media roles in her native Vietnam, as well as modeling in Asia and the U.S.A.
Her best known acting role to date has been in the Spike Lee production 'Da5 Bloods' which had a global release on Netflix on June 12, 2020. Sandy plays the character Michon, who is the estranged illegitimate child of leading man Otis (played by Clarke Peters) and Tien (played by Le Y. Lan); a common experience of U.S. military servicemen who fathered children with Vietnamese women during the war. A deeper dive and review of the complex relationship dynamics can be found at media links below.
Sandy has various hobbies and interests outside of acting and modeling; especially travel, yoga and fitness, gourmet cooking, wine, golf, trekking, and diving. She also believes strongly in philanthropy, and donating her time, talent and treasure to various charities in Vietnam. In her own words; 'we are only here on earth a short time, and we are all brothers and sisters in the same global community. We should focus more on helping others who are in need because we have been blessed, while many others have not been so fortunate'.
