Deshawn Javon King was raised in Detroit, Michigan, on 7 Mile and Alcoy. He grew up in a close-knit family with his three brothers, Terrance, Matthew, and his twin brother, Keshawn. While their mother, Areatta King, worked hard to provide for the family, Deshawn and his brothers lived with their grandparents, Patricia and Keith Perry.
Deshawn attended Western Michigan University, where he studied acting and communication, graduating in 2021. After completing his studies, he moved to Atlanta to pursue his passion for acting.
