Grupo Globo, the biggest production force in Latin America, has sold the format of the major hit drama series “The Others” for Greece and German-speaking territories and the format for the anthology series “Justice” for Greece, Variety can exclusively announce.
In Greece, “Justice: Life is Not Fair” will be produced by Primavisione and broadcast by Alpha. In “the case of The Others”, the agreement provides for production and exhibition by Alpha.
For German-speaking territories, ndF (neue deutsche Filmgesellschaft) takes over production on “The Others” and may add a partner for exhibition.
Created by Manuela Dias (“A Mother’s Love”), “Justice: Life is Not Fair” was nominated for the International Emmy for Best Actress with Adriana Esteves and for Best Drama Series. “The Others”, by Lucas Paraizo (“Under Pressure”), follows two neighboring couples who clash after their teenage sons’ fight with absurd and escalating consequences.

The 2022 International Emmy Awards are underway.
23 countries are represented across 15 categories and 60 nominees at the 50th International Emmys, which was hosted by Penn & Teller’s Penn Jillette. The gala took place Monday at the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel.
During the show, South Korean actor Song Joong-ki will present the International Emmy Directorate Award to Miky Lee, vice chairwoman of Cj Group, while Ava DuVernay will receive the International Emmy Founders Award from Blair Underwood.

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced its nominees for the 2022 International Emmy Awards, which will be presented Nov. 21 in New York City.
In the drama series competition, there are nominations for Netflix and Gaumont Television’s French mystery thriller Lupin and the American-Mexican crime series Narcos: Mexico, as they contend against nominees Reyka, a crime drama from M-Net and Fremantle, and World Productions’ Vigil series from the U.K.
And the comedy category will see Netflix and Eleven Film’s Sex Education out of the U.K., and HBO Latin America’s Bunker from Mexico contend against UK-based Big Deal Films’ Dreaming Whilst Black and the Canal+ original On The Verge series.
