Seth James Nielson
- Actor
Seth James Nielson was a child actor in the late 1980's and early 1990's. He loved being live on stage but he also found himself on the small screen in commercials and the HBO movie Encyclopedia Brown, the Case of the Missing Time Capsule. What he loved most about acting was how it exposed him, as a young child and young boy, to bigger questions of life and how people respond to them. Comedy or drama, the fictional world and the fictional characters he interacted helped to grow a wider appreciation for people of different background and circumstances.
In high school, Seth withdrew from acting in order to focus on his growing interests in science, mathematics, and computers. He later earned a Ph.D. in computer science from Rice University. He is an expert in cybersecurity and software and has testified in court on behalf of class action lawsuits related to consumer privacy issues. He also offers expert consulting services to theater and film for scripts, special effects, or directions related to software, computers, cybersecurity, and so forth.
