Josh Portillo

Josh Portillo is a professional Asian-American Voiceover Artist. Has been a remote voiceover artist since 2018 and has been able to work with numerous companies such as Nintendo of America, Crayola, McDonald's, IGN, Vital Proteins, and others during his time as a VO artist. He has done work in the indie video game field, along with other areas such as ADR Dubbing, Narration, and Ad Work. He's best known for his roles in the comedic anime, "My Deer Friend Nokotan", as Tsunoda the Deer & Yoshiharu Tsubameya. Along with that, he's apart of the first ever Indian anime, TRIO, and has contributed to other projects whose mission is to innovate the field (Creative Theory World, Black Lion & Cubs, Proxima Studios, etc.). Portillo has also done work on two highly-rated Malaysian animated shows, Boboiboy Galaxy: Gentar & MechaMato.
Besides VO work, Portillo has experience with stage performance. At a younger age, he was Ubaldo Piangi in Providence School's production of Phantom of the Opera, and Lazer Wolf in the same setting's summer incentive production of Fiddler on the Roof. In college, he participated as ensemble in Opera productions of Street Scene & La Boheme.
Portillo is a constant advocate for remote voice acting and believes that it is a new avenue for voice talent all over the world that can't move to a "voice hub" for work.
