Greg Gutfeld is no stranger to swimming himself into hot water, and he didn’t shy away from some noxious takes about the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA double strike against the AMPTP on Friday night’s “Gutfeld!”
Teeing up his assortment of guests with hot takes and jokes (often at the artists’ expense), Gutfeld even teased guest panelist and comedian Jim Florentine for being a member of SAG-AFTRA himself, to which Florentine joked that he’s been calling himself a “scab” and his jokes might bomb because he “couldn’t write any.”
“Human being are strange animals — I don’t think think there could be an AI Jim Florentine,” Gutfeld said, turning to the comedian while discussing one of the unions’ primary contractual concerns.
“I mean, I don’t — I mean, maybe,” the “Crank Yankers” star responded. “But look, I’m in the SAG-AFTRA union, so…”

Exclusive: Truly Tasteless Jokes, a series of slim paperbacks that became a publishing juggernaut in the 1980s, is the subject of a new documentary feature just acquired by Virgil Films.
Tasteless, directed by Jeff Cerulli and Matt Ritter, traces the history of not only the books themselves but the way the material — much of it crude and controversial — has aged over the decades. The author of the books, Ashton Applewhite (who used the pen name Blanche Knott), later became a feminist and activist. She conceived of the original volume while making $8,500 a year as an entry-level employee in book publishing.
In a 2011 reminiscence she wrote for Harper’s magazine, titled “Being Blanche,” Applewhite reprised many of the jokes that filled the books, the first of which was the best-selling mass-market title of 1983. The punchlines started fairly PG-rated — “What’s the difference between garbage and a girl from New Jersey? Garbage...

Axl wasn't there, but Saturday night's (April 15) Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony did feature three original members of Guns N' Roses — Slash, Duff McKagan and Steven Adler — who jammed with former Gunners Gilby Clarke and Matt Sorum (plus Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy stepping in to fill Rose's shoes) on a medley of the band's biggest hits.
Of course, there was also a cameo that only eagle-eyed fans of VH1 Classic's "That Metal Show" probably caught: The show's logo, worn squarely on Adler's chest.
Adler has appeared on "That Metal Show" before and is an avowed fan of the program — he even canceled a performance by his band Adler's Appetite in 2010 to appear as a guest.

I've had someone point out that my time for "WWE: Raw" is apparently inaccurate for wherever they are twice now. I'd like to apologize, first of all, in case this individual missed the first hour of "Raw" when all the important plot lines are established and thus spent the second hour wondering why all these greasy men in swim trunks were throwing each other around the ring. I know that it's hard to follow the subtleties of such a show without all the information presented up front. However, I'd also like to remind all of you that whatever I put here is subject to local scheduling abnormalities and time zone weirdness. Most of the shows I list are listed by their Eastern time slots, so if you aren't blessed enough to live in the correct time zone then please always double check with a local source for anything you really don't want to miss.

Indio, California — One week after indie hipsters and pop enthusiasts stood on the same desert ground for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, an estimated 55,000 metal fans watched "The Big 4" of thrash share a U.S. stage together for the first time.
"This is history tonight and you're part of it," Metallica frontman James Hetfield told the crowd Saturday at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California. "Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer and Metallica as one — with you!"
As members of all four bands gathered together toward the end of Metallica's set to perform the Diamond Head classic "Am I Evil?," fans roared. The group of friends, sometime rivals and ex-bandmates embraced one another affectionately and shared wide smiles.

Comedian Don Jamieson is part of the three-headed heavy metal monster otherwise known as That Metal Show, VH1 Classic's popular television show. And on April 26th, Metal Blade Records will release Jamieson's first-ever comedy album, Live and Hilarious.
To celebrate the album's release, Mr. Jamieson agreed to a Short-But-Sweet Interview.
Ugo: How heavy is Live and Hilarious?
Don Jamieson: Live & Hilarious is very heavy. Kirstie Alley heavy. The jokes hit harder than Chris Brown and the crowd is more juiced up than The Situation.
Ugo: Does heavy metal and comedy mix?
Don Jamieson: Metal and comedy definitely mix. Some of the funniest guys are in metal. Ozzy is like a metal Rodney Dangerfield. He's got a million one-liners and is always hysterical. Same with Lemmy, very dry and deadpan like a hard rock Steven Wright. And of course, let's not forget the dearly departed Pete Steele who was...

Hi all… Melissa, your beloved geek here. I just had the privilege of talking with Jenna Fischer, star of the upcoming indie film A Little Help, and Hall Pass. (Do I need to mention that she plays the role of Pam on The Office). She was extremely nice, and very sweet. I thank her much for her time. So, naturally I have to share it with my fellow geeks!!! Enjoy!!
Your character is very relatable and real. How did you prepare for such an intense role?
The character that I play is so unlike me. At the same time it was fun playing such a misfit. I actually had to learn to smoke for this role, because I don’t smoke. I am not a beer drinker either. For most big budget movies, they will make cans with fake beer in them, but for an indie film, they just don’t have the budget.

The weekly programme featured the latest rock news and celebrity guest interviews with co-hosts Eddie Trunk, Jim Florentine, and Don Jamieson, and Tucker, who performed skits during the show.
Trunk writes on his web site: "I have no details at all as to what happened. Kerri was a great part of the show and we had fun with her on the days we shot. I did not know her well outside of our working relations but she was fun to have as part of That Metal Show in seasons two and three... My condolences to her friends, fans and family and she will be missed as an asset to That Metal Show."...
