Gena Konstantinakos

Gena Konstantinakos is Head of Development and Production for Mad Gene Media, a Brooklyn-based production company founded by Golden Globe-winning actor Oscar Isaac and Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Elvira Lind.
Before joining Mad Gene, Konstantinakos was VP of Originals for Topic, where she developed and executive produced scripted and unscripted film and television for the streaming service, including the critically acclaimed, Peabody and Gotham Award-winning "Philly DA," by filmmaking team Ted Passon, Yoni Brook and Nicole Salazar; Academy Award winning filmmaker Roger Ross Williams' series "One Story Up," and her first collaboration with Lind and Isaac "The Letter Room," which Isaac starred in, and which Lind wrote and directed. It was nominated for an Academy Award in 2021.
Prior to her time at Topic, Konstantinakos was a development executive and executive producer at Viceland where she developed and executive produced documentary series for the channel. She holds a Peabody Award for her work as a producer on the documentary series "Hopkins," a Gotham Award and Peabody Award for her work on "Philly DA," an Emmy Award for her work on MTV's unscripted series "MADE," and a Webby Award for the satirical independent short she directed and produced "The Internet Must Go," which was fiscally sponsored by Women Make Movies, and funded by the Ford Foundation, Open Society Foundation, and Media Democracy Fund.
She holds her BA from Columbia University and lives in Brooklyn with her husband Eli and their two kids.
