NBC’s Brilliant Minds episode eight opens with Dr. Oliver Wolf (Zachary Quinto) thinking about what motivates us to carry on, even on our worst days. His opinion? It’s all about desire. When we get what we want, our brain gives us dopamine – the neurotransmitter that creates pleasure.
Dr. Ericka Kinney (Ashleigh Lathrop) and Dr. Jacob Nash (Spence Moore II) engage in a little flirting, but what catches Dr. Carol Pierce’s (Tamberla Perry) attention is the look that passes between Oliver and Dr. Josh Nichols (Teddy Sears).
In other news, the tension between Oliver and his mom, Dr. Muriel Landon (Donna Murphy), is so thick you could cut it with a knife.
Episode eight’s titular case involves June Sullivan (Susan Nimoy), an elderly woman whose two adult sons are concerned she may have dementia.

It's always refreshing to watch a film that has a new and fun take on the zombie metaphor. In the case of A Little Bit Zombie, directed by Casey Walker, that take is the change that love and marriage bring. The film is a very funny and unique take on the usual zombie film, and even the zombie comedy, through its use of some outrageous characters, screwball comedy and familial situations that had me and the audience laughing pretty continuously.Steve (Kristopher Turner), his fiancee Tina (Crystal Lowe), his sister Sarah (Kristen Hager) and her husband Craig (Shawn Roberts) are taking a little cottage vacation before the big wedding day. Tina is, to be frank, something of a bridezilla, and Steve spends the first part of...

The peacock network is dropping their medical drama Saving Hope from the schedule. While the TV series hasn't been officially cancelled by NBC, the writing is certainly on the wall.
Saving Hope revolves around the staff of a major hospital. The charismatic Chief of Surgery (Michael Shanks) suffers a massive brain hemorrhage on his wedding day and ends up in a coma. This leaves the facility in chaos and his fiance and fellow surgeon (Erica Durance) in a state of shock. It doesn't help matters that her former boyfriend (Daniel Gillies) -- also a brilliant surgeon -- has arrived to work at the same facility. Others in the cast include Michelle Nolden, K. C. Collins, Kristopher Turner, Julia Taylor Ross, Ben Ayres, Huse Madhavji, Salvatore Antonio, and Glenda Braganza.

We're not going to make the cliché Canadian joke here. No Mackenzie Brothers reference or hosers or eh? We're not even going to ask if you're elbow deep in Tim Horton's donuts. We've just got a request from filmmaker Casey Walker ... go see A Little Bit Zombie.
Judging by the hilarious trailer for the film, which was produced and directed by Walker, A Little Bit Zombie might be this year's Tucker and Dale Versus Evil or The Cottage. Casey Walker's horror comedy A Little Bit Zombie is a sneaky little charmer of a movie. A low budget, crowd funded effort it's clever, bloody and - most importantly - fun stuff bolstered by a wickedly over the top performance by Stephen McHattie as a hard boiled zombie hunter in pursuit of Steve, a normal guy who just happens to be a little bit zombie after being bitten by a zombie infected mosquito. In the screenplay co-written by Christopher Bond, co-creator of 'Evil Dead The Musical', and Trevor Martin, Steve (Kristopher Turner) gets infected by a virus the week before his wedding and tries to keep it together so as to not incur the wrath of his Bridezilla-to-be (Crystal Lowe). Artist Tom Hodge, better known as The Dude Designs, is bringing back the lost art of the film poster and video cover art. Like many of us Tom's bored senseless by modern poster art and states that 'Now we need explosions, exploitation and helicopters!!!' - we couldn't agree more Tom. His latest creation is a fantastic new one-sheet for Casey Walkers horror-comedy 'A Little Bit Zombie'. It features all the main cast members including Steve (played by Kristopher Turner), our male lead whom gets infected by a virus at a bachelor party, obsessed zombie hunter (Stephen McHattie) and the sexy 'Final Destination 3' star Crystal Lowe who plays Steve's Bridezilla-to-be. Shawn Roberts, Kristen Hager, Emilie Ullerup, Robert Maillet and George Buza all co-star in the zombie project which was scripted by by Trevor Martin and Christopher Bond. Check out the excellent new artwork below....

Check out a new poster for director Casey Walker’s horror/comedy “A Little Bit Zombie”. The poster was designed by Tom Hodge aka The Dude Designs, and it’s a groovy looking throwback. According to Hodge, the poster is his ode to “fantasy art school of the 70′s” and artists like Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo and John Bolton. Infected by a virus, a mild mannered Hr manager attempts to fulfill his overwhelming desire for brains, all while trying to keep it together so as not to incur the wrath of his bridezilla-to-be. Starring Stephen McHattie, Kristopher Turner, Crystal Lowe, Shawn Roberts, Kristen Hager, and Emilie Ullerup. (And oh, the latest trailer for “A Little Bit Zombie” above in case you missed it.)...

*full disclosure: a screener of this film was provided by Casey Walker.
Director: Casey Walker.
Writers: Trevor Martin and Christopher Bond.
Cast: Kristopher Turner, Kristen Hager, Crystal Lowe, Shawn Roberts, and Stephen McHattie.
First-time director Casey Walker may very well have a cult classic on his hands. With plenty of experience in the television front, and lots of training with his film making friends, he shows that he has the talent to work in the big leagues.
A Little Bit Zombie will make its world debut at the Victoria Film Festival on February 4th. This movie is a smart rom-com. It cleverly adds to the mythos of what the walking dead can represent on screen. And this motion picture can easily rank up there with other Canadian zombie products like Fido and Pontypool.
Viewers may remember Stephen McHattie from the latter product, and he shows that he is no stranger...

Thus far we've totally dug on everything we've seen coming out of the camp of Casey Walker's A Little Bit Zombie, but this latest trailer has us sold hook, line, and stinker! I know, bad pun; but damn, if you ever smelled a corpse up close, you'd be laughing. Then retching. Then hoping nobody noticed it was you who made such a mess.

Director and producer Casey Walker has released a second one sheet for A Little Bit Zombie, the feature film penned by Christopher Bond, one of the creators of 'Evil Dead The Musical' and Trevor Martin. The new illustrated poster takes a jab at the Twilight films, yet doesn't provide any really new info on the film. I'd rather see something that gets me excited about their film than makes me go "Oh, they hate Twilight?" To each their own. Starring Shawn Roberts (Resident Evil: Afterlife), Crystal Lowe (Hot tub Time Machine), Kristopher Turner (Bloodletting & Miraculous Cures) and Kristen Hager, " 'A Little Bit Zombie' follows the adventures of a mild mannered groom-to-be, Steve (Turner), who becomes infected by a virus on a country weekend get-away.
