- Jake attended the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media where he graduated in 2018 with a degree in audio engineering. It was during his time at this school where he discovered his love for post production audio in film.
- From 2018-2019 Jake was the bass player for the band Derrywood.
- In addition to film, Jake is an avid musician. In 2019, he along with fellow band members Campbell Jordan, Jason Bramblett, and James Lyon, formed the Gyn Soaked Gypsies.
- Jake is the great great grandson of actor Jacob Ruskin.
