Katie Hobbs(II)
Katie Hobbs is the Secretary of State of Arizona, serving since January 2019. Prior to assuming her current role she was an Arizona state
senator representing the 24th district from 2013 to 2019 and an Arizona state representative representing the 15th district from 2011 to
2013. She is the first Democrat to hold the post since 1995.
Hobbs earned her bachelor's degree in social work from Northern Arizona University and a master's degree in social work from Arizona State University. Hobbs has been a social worker since 1992, working on issues such as domestic violence, behavioral health, and homelessness. Hobbs is affiliated with the National Association of Social Workers and is an adjunct faculty member at Paradise Valley Community College. Hobbs has a husband, Pat, and two children.
