The popular Student of the Year movie franchise, which launched the careers of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria, is getting a digital spin-off. Karan Johar, the producer of the franchise, is teaming up with Disney+Hotstar to create a web series based on the high school drama.

The series will mark the Ott debut of Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of actors Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor. Shanaya, who is also making her big-screen debut with Mohanlal’s action film Vrushabha, has been groomed by Karan Johar for her Bollywood entry. The web series is expected to go on floors later this year and will introduce some more new faces along with Shanaya.

The plot and other details of the show are yet to be revealed. Student of the Year 3 is the second film franchise to get an Ott adaptation after Vidyut Jammwal’s Commando.

Mumbai, March 14 (Ians) Brace yourself, some of the most loved streaming shows are getting renewed for their third seasons. Shows like ‘Delhi Crime’, ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’, ‘Kota Factory’, ‘Mismatched’, and ‘She’ are set to return with their new instalments.

Filmmaker Karan Johar in the recent episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’, which saw Bhavana Pandey, Maheep Kapoor and Gauri Khan, said that he thinks actress Ananya Panday “dated two boys at the same time”.

During the rapid-fire round, Karan asked Gauri about her dating advice for daughter, Suhana Khan, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’.

Karan questioned: “The one advice you gave Suhana about dating.”

Gauri replied, “Never date two boys at the same time. Never.”

He added: “Good advice.”

Looking at Bhavana, Karan then said: “I think Ananya has done that already.”

A shocked Bhavana said:, “Has she?”

To which, Karan replied: “Ya. I think she was oscillating in between.”

Bhavana then said: “No, she was thinking of two so she broke up with one,” leaving everyone laughing.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan, who will be seen on ‘Koffee With Karan’ along with friends Maheep Kapoor and Bhavana Panday, has a funny dating advice for her daughter Suhana Khan, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’.

In the trailer of the upcoming episode, Karan asked Gauri about her dating advice for Suhana.

Bollywood choreographer-director Farah Khan, who is known for her quirky Instagram posts, recently went for dinner with her tinsel town friends. Taking to her Instagram, she shared an array of pictures from her outing. The pictures feature her brother Sajid Khan, Sanjay Kapoor and his wife Maheep Kapoor, Chunky Panday and his wife Bhavana Pandey, Avinash Gowariker and Seema Sajdeh at a Mumbai restaurant. Maheep also shared a picture on her Instagram Stories.

The first picture shared by Farah shows everyone posing for a group picture at the dinner table. Farah wrote in the caption: “Good friends and great food.”

Another photo shows the squad posing at the restaurant’s gate. Farah captioned the photo, “Well fed and well red.”

Maheep Kapoor also shared a picture that featured her, Farah and Bhavana. She added a Friends sticker to the picture. Bhavana reposted the picture on her Instagram Stories along with heart emojis.

Mumbai, Jan 18 (Ians) Bollywood actress Ananya Panday has switched on her Kendall Jenner mode in a new post on social media. 

Ananya posted a string of pictures from a photo shoot that has impressed fans and industry friends alike. Among those who lauded her efforts with their comments are Arjun Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Seema Khan and Punit Malhotra.

The actress was seen in the recently released film "Khaali Peeli" opposite. Ishaan Khatter.

Mumbai, Dec 4 (Ians) Seema Khan, fashion designer and wife of Bollywood actor Sohail Khan, appears in the web series Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives. She says she was initially nervous shooting for her bridal collection, but felt at ease after actress Jacqueline Fernandez signed up.

"I was super nervous and needed this to be perfect. I needed someone big to shoot it and who better than Jacqueline Fernandez. I am a huge fan of hers and she is such a sweetheart. She put me at ease and I love her personality," said Seema.

The web series features several Bollywood wives including Seema, Neelam Kothari, Bhavana Pandey and Maheep Kapoor, and streams on Netflix.

Karan Johar, who is the Executive Producer of the show, also makes multiple special appearances to set up controversial conversations or conduct an extended version of his popular chat show Koffee with Karan. Unfortunately, the script keeps things too prim and proper and doesn’t allow interactions to get truly nasty or saucy.

Netflix series “Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives” delivers exactly what it promises: a glossy window into the lives of four wealthy, glamorous women celebrating their enduring friendships on screen. Bravo may have gotten there first with its “Real Housewives” franchise, but the streaming giant’s take is the first of its kind out of India.
