Sarah Michelle Gellar is stepping back into the shoes of her cunning Cruel Intentions villain Kathryn Merteuil for one special cause: to tell audience members to turn off their cell phones.
The 40-year-old actress has recorded the pre-show announcement for Off-Broadway’s Cruel Intentions: The ’90s Musical Experience — the sly send-up of Roger Kumble’s 1999 teen classic that’s now playing at New York City’s (le) Poisson Rouge.
In the announcement, exclusive to listen to on People, Gellar doesn’t waste any time tapping into her character’s biting tongue. “It’s not that difficult, morons,” she tells...

In a season of sequels, franchises, and bloated blockbusters, Ana Lily Amirpour‘s “The Bad Batch” feels like a cinematic oasis. The director behind “A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night” returns with a bold, post-apocalyptic vision, but one that isn’t afraid to have some groove to it as well.
Starring Suki Waterhouse, Jason Momoa, Keanu Reeves, and Giovanni Ribisi, the film is set in a dystopian future United States, in which a young girl condemned to wander a desert wasteland is captured by a community of cannibals.

Here are the songs that were considered forJames Bond themes but ultimately rejected. Some of them aren't half-bad, too...
Bond title songs are an intrinsic part of the series. But did you know that there were often unused tracks that were considered but rejected? Some of them are damn good too. This is bound to lead to comparisons and what if… discussions, and that's what we are here to encourage today.
As soon as we try to define what makes a great Bond song, we run into the problem that dogs any criticism of the series – every aspect of it is extremely divisive. Whatever element you nominate as a high point, best actor, score or film, for example, is someone else's least favourite and vice versa. The same goes for the Bond theme songs: some people like a bouncy pop song with a nice brass arrangement. For others,...

By the time 1994 had rolled around, after a full year of being on television, Monday Night Raw had already become must-see television for wrestling fans. Looking back with hindsight being 20/20, many people say that the product back then simply wasn’t that great, but you couldn’t tell by looking at all of those televisions that had to be tuned in to watch Raw every Monday night.
The show, like the company itself, was growing and trying to find its stride. Entering Raw’s second year, Vince McMahon wanted things to be bigger. He wanted them to be better. He took the show on the road more, running in different venues around the country. He upped the production values, and things just looked like a much bigger deal as time went on.
Let’s travel back to 1994 for a bit. Seinfeld and ER were the two biggest shows on television.

Though the story’s been floating around for at least 20 years, the Internet was once again reminded yesterday that Ace Of Base’s Ulf Ekberg was maybe, sort of, kind of a neo-Nazi when he was younger. Noisey published a story saying that the Swede—now a businessman working with companies like Nokia, BMW, and Ibm—was once part of a skinhead musical group called Commit Suicide. Noisey also alleged that Ekberg was a member of the Swedish Democrats, a group founded by Nazis and with noted connections to hate groups. As it turns out, Noisey may have acted ...

In one of the best episodes of the season, Victoria's mama bear has lethal claws, Emily weeps at what might have been, and Jack does the unthinkable.
Did Samson teach him nothing?
It's the wedding day of Amanda and Jack, and Emily has a lot on her mind, starting with a gauzy flashback to those carefree days back in 1993, when everyone was listening to Ace Of Base and watching the premiere of a new show called Beavis & Butthead.
She's preparing for her own mock wedding, to a prepubescent Jack, and they're both at the age when this is still cute, and not creepy and uncomfortable. Emily has made wedding rings out of pipe cleaners, and when we flash back to the present, we see that she's kept one in the infinity box.
Nolan interrupts to announce that, he, as the wedding officiant, has everything ready for the beach nuptials,...
