Born in Sydney, Australia, Sean Muir began his film education in Waco, Texas. He holds a BA in Film & Digital Media from Baylor University, and a Diploma of Screen & Media from Sydney Film School.
After graduating from high school in 2011, Sean continued his studies in order to attend college in the US to play football. In 2013, he earned a full athletic scholarship to play Division 1 college football for Baylor University in Waco, Texas. There, he joined his brother, Blake, who later went on to play in the NFL.
While at Baylor, Sean began studying as a history major. But soon into his college career, he transferred to a film major. His studies led him to obtain a passion for screenwriting while gaining experience across all departments of filmmaking.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2017, Sean began working in the news industry. He was hired as a Content Specialist at KXXV Central Texas News Now. There, he gained experience in live sports and newscasts. But in 2019, Sean and his brother, Blake, who was playing football professionally at the time, decided to return home to study film full time.
Back home in Sydney, Sean was accepted into Sydney Film School. There, he gained more in depth experience and credits as a filmmaker. During his first semester, he won Best Screenplay at the SFS Festival for his original screenplay.
During his studies in 2020, Sean was able to shoot a series of short films with fellow filmmakers which they featured across numerous social media outlets.
Sean went on to produce the Australian mockumentary "House Arrest", directed by Kurt McGowan. He then began working as a producer and director of photography on the Australian crime comedy "One Shot", directed by his brother, Blake. During this time, Sean was able to write and direct the comedy "HypocriCity".
In 2020, Sean graduated from Sydney Film School and is actively working in the film industry in Sydney with his brother, Blake.
