Leona König was born in Prostejov in the Czech Republic. She graduated from the University of Economics in Prague. After her studies, she moved to Vienna, where she works as the chairman and founder of the association and music sponsor prize "Goldene Note", dedicated to talented young musicians in the field of classical music. Since 2016, he has been voluntarily supporting the promotion of highly talented young people. For her commitment to supporting young talent, she was awarded in the cultural heritage category at the "Austria 20" competition.
In 2016, she founded the IMF - International Association for the Advancement of Gifted Children, based in Vienna, whose aim is to support the musical development of gifted children between the ages of 5 and 18 and is dedicated to the interest in classical music accessible to a wider audience, especially the younger generation. This support is provided by organizing age-appropriate masterclasses, auditions and concerts.
From December 2020, Leona König presented the new monthly cultural TV program Stars a Talente z a s Leona König on ORF as author and presenter, in which talented young artists enter into a musical exchange with established stars.
The president and founder of the IMF won in the cultural heritage category at "Austria 20" - "Austrians of the year 2020".
She is the initiator of the "Golden Note" music promotion award at ORF. It supports young musicians between the ages of six and eighteen in the field of classical music. In 2022, she got an opportunity as an actress in the TV series Vienna Blood in the episode The God of Shadows as the mother of an autistic son.
Leona König received the 2022 "Woman of the Year" award in the category "Passion and Style" for her dedication and commitment to supporting highly talented young musicians and for her style.
In September 2023, she received the special prize of the Austrian Music Theater for the project Goldene note at ORF and for her commitment to supporting young talents in classical music.
In 2023, she was awarded for her services to the Republic of Austria with the Golden Medal of Honor for her support of young talents and for her work in the International Music Association for Highly Gifted Children.
