Samagat's present interest as a cinematographer lies in bringing out the dream-like in the mundane as it is through dreams that we learn to address the unknown in us. He was recently selected as one of the top 25 documentary filmmakers for PSBT's Doc Commune program for its 2024-25 edition. He started out as a gold medalist and double scholarship awardee from Whistling Woods International, Mumbai and interned in a big-budget Bollywood film following that. His diploma short documentary got selected in the Pune short film festival in 2020. Some of the independent projects he's shot are out on Apple TV, Google TV and Oho Gujarati.
