Erin Lear is an entrepreneur and humanitarian based in LA, California. Erin is the youngest grandchildren of Bill Lear inventor of the Learjet, Motorola, and the Eight Track Stereo System. She was born January 5th, 1984 in Reno, Nevada to David and Sally Lear. Her family's involvement in the entertainment industry includes her great grandfather Ole Olsen a vaudeville comedian, and Uncle John Lear known as the Godfather of Conspiracy Theories focused on aerial phenomena and UFO's.
Erin started modeling at the age of one in a national ad campaign for Jcpenney. By age 5, she was acting on hit TV show Unsolved Mysteries(1989), by age eleven was playing Tommy Lee Jone's daughter in the movie Cobb (1994). In her early 20's she was acting along side Channing Tatum in Supercross the movie and starring in independent films as well as appearing on other TV shows such as Punk'd. Erin attended Hyde Boarding School in Bath, Maine where she was a high achiever in athletics, drama and academics. She played varsity soccer, lacrosse, and basketball all four years. She had solo singing parts in the school's major annual performances. Awards received included: New England All-Stars League for both soccer and lacrosse, MVP for lacrosse, Baccalaureate, Spirit Award and the Drama Award. She was sought after by Division I, II, and III schools for lacrosse but passed up the opportunity to pursue her acting dreams in Los Angeles while studying at Santa Monica College.
Erin spent many happy years of her adolescence in the family's airplane hangar out at the Stead, NV airport where her grandmother, Moya Lear, had taken over LearAvia Lear Fan in 1979 following her husband Bill Lear's death. Growing up amongst engineers and family friends in the aerospace sector, built strong natural inner industry bonds and sparked her lifelong passion for aviation. Having her grandmother and figures like Amelia Earhart as role models also fed her ambition to see more females working in aerospace.
At present(2020), Ms. Lear resides in Los Angeles, Ca and continues to work on on many different projects. Included but not limited to real estate, her electric airplane pilot academy and charter company. Erin utilizes her unique combination of savvy social media skills, personal business connections, and tireless work ethic to close numerous deals. She is also passionate about animal welfare and advocacy. She has volunteered with numerous animal welfare organizations and children orphanage organizations in the US, China, Costa Rica, and Thailand. In 2019, Erin traveled to Yulin, China to assist the Buddhist monks and animal activists in rescuing over 500 dogs from the inhumane yearly Yulin Dog Meat Festival. Erin's humanitarian efforts also include raising awareness on environmental issues, and sustainable agricultural. She has done numerous TV, radio, podcasts, magazine and red carpet interviews and is gearing up for more. She will be rolling out her plans for the electric airplane space and sharing with you, what it was like growing up as a Lear and being a women in the Aerospace Industry.
