Nick Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 has debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Dec. 23), as Billboard reports. It’s her third album to hit Number One, behind 2012’s Roman Reloaded and 2011’s Pink Friday — making her the female rapper with the most chart-topping albums to date.

Accomplished music producer Mark Ronson had to take a different approach to “Barbie”.

The well-known producer has worked with big names like Amy Winehouse, Adele, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Bruno Mars and many others, creating hit after hit, but when it came to making a movie soundtrack, it was a different beast entirely.

“I can play a track for an artist and it’s a banger, right?,” he told Variety. “With movies, it’s completely different. It might be an undeniably great piece of music, but if it’s not matching this unspoken thing that the director has always imagined when they see that image on the screen, it doesn’t work.”

Cardi B defended herself and her man when a Nicki Minaj stan claimed her husband hooked up with Saweetie.

The exchange happened yesterday on Twitter when a Nicki Minaj fan account went after Cardi, something that occurs often.

Nicki and Cardi have had a longstanding rivalry, and there was even a physical altercation in 2018. Since then, fans of the two hit rappers have gone head-to-head on social media, and yesterday was no exception.

Cardi was minding her own business when a hater confronted her. The fan suggested that Cardi’s husband hooked up with rapper Saweetie.

The fan wrote, “I’m still gaggin at you blatantly lying about Offset f***n Saweetie. That’s the tea I want you to rear in on!”

The Queen of Rap is headlining Rolling Loud New York. On Tuesday, the hip-hop music festival announced the uber-stacked lineup for their September festival, with Nick Minaj, Aap Rocky, and Future headlining the three-day event at Queens’ Citi Field.
