Akari Yanagawa is an animation producer at Shueisha Inc., one of the largest manga publishers in the world. A graduate of Keio University's Faculty of Economics, she began her career at Toei Animation in 2013. During her time there, she gained extensive experience in the licensing business, managing character copyrights and spearheading copyright sales initiatives.
In 2016, she transitioned to the Planning Department, where she produced her first film, Oshiri Tantei. Akari went on to produce popular children's shows such as Star Twinkle Pretty Cure and The Supernatural Sweetshop (Fushigi Dagashiya Zenitendo), earning recognition for her work on beloved family-friendly franchises.
Her expertise extends beyond traditional animation projects, with hands-on experience in developing innovative content for NFTs and the Metaverse, as well as crafting projects for international markets.
In 2022, Akari joined Shueisha Inc., where she continues to produce groundbreaking animation projects, building on her passion for bringing compelling stories to global audiences.
