Legendary actor James Caan passed away at the age of 82 back in July – but well before he passed away, he had already shot his scenes for the creature feature thriller Dark Harvest, and Variety reports that the producers and directors Andrew Dymond and André Gordon are planning to shoot the film’s final scenes in January. The movie will then be released sometime later in 2023.
Scripted by Rich Manley, Dark Harvest tells the story of a young Southern deputy who returns to his childhood home to investigate a dark mystery surrounding the town and its sheriff. As a growing number of missing persons reports piles on, appearances from strange government men in black suits and a Gmo-riddled corn crop experiment has the town in a hush, and the inquisitive deputy undertakes the task of getting to the bottom of the mystery.

Sooooo… Cross 3. It’s safe to say No-one ever expected this, even though it was hinted at in the last film! In fact how the hell, did star Brian Austin Green and writer/co-director Patrick Durham even manage to secure the funding to produce this film? No-one ever really wanted the 2017 Cross sequel, Cross Wars, and I have no doubt the audience for a Third film is even smaller.
But here we are, it’s 2019 and the low-budget superhero series continues, obviously still trying to ride the superhero hype wave – whether comic-book movie loving audiences will...

It’s hard to believe that 2011 superhero movie Cross made enough money, or had enough of a fanbase to warrant a sequel, but here we are 6 years after the original, back in action with most of the same cast. Where as the first film, and it’s green Celtic power-providing amulet, was timed to cash-in on that other “green” superhero movie starring Ryan Reynolds, this time round however there’s no similar superhero movie to cash in on. And this time round the genre has had [much] more than it’s fair share of good, bad and Very bad movies.
I wonder which category Cross Wars falls into? If you have to guess, well…
Cross Wars continues the story of Callan...

Joosten, a two-time Emmy winner for her nosy neighbor in the popular television series, was 72. A former Disney World street performer, Joosten’s was best known for her television work. In addition to playing opposite Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Strong, and Eva Longoria in Desperate Housewives, Joosten had recurring roles in Ally McBeal, Dharma & Greg, and The West Wing, and guested in numerous TV shows. Kathryn Joosten could also be spotted in about twenty movies, almost invariably in small supporting roles or bit parts. She was Will Ferrell’s mother in the box-office smash Wedding Crashers; Finn Carter’s mother in the apparently direct-to-video Halfway Decent; and Aunt Jackie in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. Joosten’s last film role was in André Gordon’s 2011 (as...
