Jeannette Boyd II
- Actress
Jeannette began her modeling career in her mid-40's, in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina. Little did she know that this Fashion journey would render such self-actualization. She was introduced to the industry after a leisure photo shoot landing her photos in a magazine. (Crush Models Magazine - "2016 Spring Fling Hat Edition Vol. 2"/ Photographer: Jay Humble Lack Production Studio).
Immediately thereafter, she went on to expound on her newfound exposure and decided to match this to her personal flare for fashion. Representing herself as a freelance model, her first fashion show audition was a success and she advanced onto; not only being a contestant in the, "Vogue Modeling Annual DIY Supermodel Competition" produced by (The Agency Vogue dba Vogue Modeling Agency), but also took home an elaborate trophy and winnings of 5th place. This extravagant win propelled her into the opportunity to grace the runway in the "2016 NY Fashion on the Hudson" fashion show. This show was produced by Sofia Davis (Editor-In-Chief at Fashion Avenue News Magazine) in NYC. Additionally, you will find Jeannette photographed in the [September 2016] Model World/ Fashion Avenue News Magazine, as one of the Vogue Modeling Agency's "Top 5 Finalist".
Jeannette was eager to learn more in-depth of the prerequisites to be a model via auditions, workshops, and research. She invested in various curriculums, as well as, attended Cynthia Bailey's 3 Day Model Expo. She began representing fashion designers of emerging brands on/off the runway such as Neckwerk Neckwear, N'Bodi, Carlyle Collections, J-Bri Designs, Haute Couture, Xavier Furs, DMochelle Fashions Magazine and many more. The fashions show arena placed her in front of reputable industry leaders as she was accumulating lots of travel miles across the East Coast (as far South as Florida up through the most Northern part of NY). The fashion moguls began reaching out to her to represent their styles via fashion shows, photo shoots, website promotional ads, and/or marketing videos.
During this time, Jeannette's reputation as a businesswoman began to surface. And she was offered an opportunity to learn the business aspect of the Fashion Industry. She accepted work as a "Talent Associate" for The Agency Vogue dba Vogue Modeling Agency. That role afforded her the insight to work closely with new, aspiring, and seasoned models; while, enhancing her comprehension of the day-to-day operations.
Later she redirected her focus on the continuation of building her credentials as a well-rounded model. After script reading rehearsals and she debuted as an extra in a short Horror film "Stories to Tell on Halloween", lead acting role in a "Gospel Skit", and an extra in a Gospel music video of Gospel Artist, Freedom Hester. This further positioned her to become a Mentor/ Model Trainer for Mon'Trell Modeling Management.
Jeannette owned a blog talk radio syndication, EyezOnU Radio, that she created to enable upcoming business entrepreneurs an opportunity for free exposure of their product, new business venture and/or ideology. This syndication was broadcasted 3 nights a week and hosted by her and fellow aspiring model peers for their growth and exposure. After 2 years of a successful run, she ventured into other aspirations.
